Ashley Evanoski Cole

Coming to WSU in Fall 2020, Dr. Ashley Evanoski-Cole brought her expertise in analytical and atmospheric chemistry to the Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences. Her research interests include air quality, chromatography, and environmental chemistry. She has articles published in multiple atmospheric chemistry and chemical education peer-reviewed journals. An enthusiastic proponent of undergraduate research experiences, Professor Evanoski-Cole has mentored numerous student-led independent research projects and classroom-based research experiences. These student-designed projects have ranged in topics from water quality, soil chemistry, analytical analysis of food and consumer products, separations chemistry, and air sampling and characterization. Within the classroom and laboratory, Professor Evanoski-Cole is dedicated to bringing an effective, high-quality, and inclusive learning experience to everyone by incorporating high impact practices and the use of open-source course material.
