Enrich your academic journey by declaring an English minor. This program offers a dynamic blend of writing and literature courses, allowing you to explore your passion for the written word.

To complete the English minor, students are required to take a total of 18 credits, which includes six English courses. Among these, at least two must be at the 300-level, ensuring you gain advanced knowledge and skills in your studies.

Please note that the following courses will not apply to the minor: ENGL 0101, ENGL 0338, ENGL 0350, and ENGL 0380.

Minors in English

Transfer students must complete 9 credits at Westfield, with 6 credits taken at the 0300 level.

Requirements for the English minor - 18 credits

Students who would like to take a mixture of writing and literature classes are encouraged to declare an English minor. Students are required to take any six English courses (18 credits), two of which must be at the 300-level.
