The Business minor is designed to equip students from various majors with the essential skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in the business world. This program emphasizes practical applications and foundational concepts that are vital for navigating today’s dynamic workplace. To complete the minor, students must earn at least 18 credits, including a minimum of 6 credits taken at WSU. The curriculum consists of a core requirement of 9 credits, featuring foundational courses in accounting and software applications in management, which provide critical insights into financial reporting and effective management practices. In addition, students select 9 elective credits from a diverse range of business-focused subjects, including finance, marketing, and international business, allowing them to customize their education to align with their career aspirations. This thoughtful blend of core and elective courses ensures that students not only develop a solid grounding in key business principles but also gain the flexibility to explore specific interests and career paths.
