Projects

1. “Triangle Packaging” (Fall '23, S'24, F'24, S'25)

  • Graphic design students created their own logos and digital artwork for various products.
  • Students used the laser cutter to print the chipboard packaging, and then assembled them using rapid prototyping resources from the RIDE Center. Students use various materials, including acrylic, wood, and cardboard to create their final product.
  • This unique project allows students to understand the fundamentals of creating 3D packaging, and how hand assembly allows for more user error as opposed to prototyping on equipment utilizing one design.
  • Final projects are displayed in the Arno Maris Art Galley at the end of each spring semester.
